On September 8, 2025, the memorial event "Night Before the Siege" was held at the Presidential Library in St.Petersburg. The event commemorated the 84th anniversary of the beginning of the Siege of Leningrad.
The symphony orchestra performed compositions by composer Igor Skvortsov.
The organizers of the commemorative event were: the "Peaceful People" Foundation in collaboration with the "Residents of Blockaded Leningrad" society, with the support of the Administrative Department of the President of the Russian Federation, the Federal Treasury, the Department of Culture of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, as well as with the assistance of the Government of Saint Petersburg, the Cultural Diplomacy Community, the Presidential Library, the Public Chamber of Saint Petersburg, and the International Foundation for the Support of Culture "MASTER CLASS".
