International Round Table
"Cultural Diplomacy: Indian Practice and International Experience"
March 24, 2026
New Delhi, Republic of India
On March 24, 2026, Igor Skvortsov, President of the Cultural Diplomacy Society, and representatives of the World Peoples Assembly, participated in the roundtable discussion "Cultural Diplomacy: Indian Practice and International Experience," which was held at the Hindu College of the Delhi University of Sculpture.
For Indian civilization, diplomacy has always begun with a dialogue on values, embodied in the ancient wisdom of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam—"The world is one family."
We discuss cultural diplomacy as a national shift, not coincidentally citing the Indian experience. It was in India that yoga, Ayurveda, cinema, and gastronomy evolved from traditional practices into powerful tools for building stable international trust. Cultural diplomacy is becoming increasingly important for advancing national interests and international cooperation.
The goal of the roundtable is to exchange experiences among different countries, identify best practices in cultural diplomacy, develop approaches to developing cultural dialogue, and teach ways to transform cultural wealth into mutual understanding between nations.
